This is a joint lecture between Indonesian ITB and Japanese 91ÁÔÆæ. In this seminar, methods to monitor forest ecosystems will be introduced based on the speaker's experiences in Japanese forest. He has been monitoring some Japanese forests for over a half century. Findings by the monitoring will be introduced, too. His ecological studies with 91ÁÔÆæ students will be also introduced including research in Miyajima forests, bamboo flowering, and beech forests in Hiroshima. Students who are interested in field work in nature best fit to the seminar.
