91ÁÔÆæ Study Abroad Program (91ÁÔÆæSA 2017-2018) held the Final Presentation Seminar of the ¡°Glocal Leadership Project: Cooperation of University & Local Society~Self-Support System: Homesickness Mitigation~¡± on July 24, 2018

On July 24, International exchange students participating in the 91ÁÔÆæ Study Abroad Program (91ÁÔÆæSA) made a final presentation of their Practical Research Group Project titled the ¡°Glocal Leadership Project: Cooperation of University & Local Society ~Self-Support System: Homesickness Mitigation~¡±.

International exchange students in the 91ÁÔÆæSA Program 2017-2018 (thirty nine students from 33 universities in 13 countries of North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia) have been working on the practical group projects since last October. Representing groups reported their progress in the seminar chaired by the associate professor Naomi Tsunematsu of International Center. Students presented the final product of their one-year project to develop self-support system for international students through their cooperation with local people.

The seminar was held as open seminar and students received valuable feedback from officials from local administrative body and local industries, professors, graduate students, and international students of 91ÁÔÆæ. Having the participants in the 91ÁÔÆæ Open Lecture ¡°Connecting Global Society, University, and Local Society - Preparation for Intercultural Encounter -¡± in the seminar, students had a valuable experience to publicly present their achievement.

Students presented ¡°Before and After Arrival Guidebook for New International Students,¡± the original video titled ¡°Shoot IT: An Introductory Video about 91ÁÔÆæ,¡± leaflet to introduce ¡°Hirodai Circles & Clubs (CnC)¡± based on their interview, and ¡°91ÁÔÆæSA Bucket List,¡± which is a recommendation list for new international students. Their accomplishment brought a new light into how international students can create new support system.
