91ÁÔÆæ made the Gender Equality Declaration in 2006.

The Gender Equality Promotion Office was established on April 1 , 2008.

Based upon the 91ÁÔÆæ Gender Equality Declaration, the Gender Equality Promotion Office engages in concrete efforts to make 91ÁÔÆæ an organization where all members are capable of making the most of their individualities and abilities. The Gender Equality Promotion Committee sets ¡°Goals for Action¡± based on the six basic policies of the 91ÁÔÆæ Declaration for Gender Equality for the same period as the mid-term target period, and formulates ¡°Action Plans¡± for achieving these goals on a yearly basis. The Gender Equality Promotion Office supports the implementation of those action plans.  The Gender Equality Promotion Office also plays a role as an organization responsible for enforcement of Positive action policy aimed at increasing the number of women among teaching staff.
