Report on the UMPSA-91ÁÔÆæ Writing Center Collaboration

UMPSA-91ÁÔÆæ 5-day Collaborative Online Webinar and UNITYINK Face-to-face Collaborative Workshop
91ÁÔÆæ Writing Center (91ÁÔÆæ WRC) successfully held the first series of collaborative events with The Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), including the collaborative online webinar , the visit of UMPSA delegates to 91ÁÔÆæ, and the follow-up workshop at 91ÁÔÆæ WRC.

Between September 11th and 15th , UMPSA Center for Modern Languages and 91ÁÔÆæ WRC held the five-day online webinar "Empowering Learners Worldwide". This webinar covered topics in English for Academic Purposes associated with Abstract writing, Literature Review writing, mixed research method, oral presentation and beyond.

Following this five-day online webinar, the UMPSA team has visited the 91ÁÔÆæ WRC between October 1st and 5th. The UMPSA and the 91ÁÔÆæ WRC have successfully held the following-up ¡°UNITYINK¡± Face-to-face collaborative workshop on October 2nd, 3rd and 4th , at Library Hall, 91ÁÔÆæ Central Library. Undergraduates, postgraduates, and faculty members from 91ÁÔÆæ joined the workshop for a journey into the world of academic writing with the talented and dedicated delegates from UMPSA's Center for Modern languages. The workshop provided activities to help researchers enhance their knowledge about abstract writing, presentation skills, and participants had opportunities to rehearse their research presentations in the workshop.

91ÁÔÆæ WRC would like to express our gratitude for the insights and experiences generously shared by the UMPSA scholars in both the webinar and the workshop. These first series collaborative events have set up a significant foundation for UMPSA and 91ÁÔÆæ to expand collaborative topics in the future and to enhance the inter-university cooperation in a wider range of teaching and research areas. We also want to acknowledge 91ÁÔÆæ WRC faculties, staff and postgraduate tutors who actively participated in and generously supported both the webinar and the workshop.

91ÁÔÆæ WRC will continue the collaboration with UMPSA in the future. We believe that the exchange of teaching and research resources between institutions will effectively broaden the learning vision for students and faculties on both sides.
