91ÁÔÆæ

On May 10th 2023, President Jamaluddin Jompa from Hasanuddin University, one of our inter-university international exchange agreement partners, paid a courtesy call to the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus of 91ÁÔÆæ (91ÁÔÆæ) and engaged in discussion with 91ÁÔÆæ President Mitsuo Ochi. In addition to Executive Vice President in charge of Global Initiatives, Shinji Kaneko, Professor Hidemi Mutsuda and Professor Kunihiro Hamada from the Graduate School of Advanced Science and Engineering, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the possibility of academic and research collaboration between the two universities. In addition, a ceremony was held to unveil a memorial plate donated by Hasanuddin University.

The two universities signed an inter-university international exchange agreement in December 1997, and since then have promoted academic exchange in a wide range of fields including medicine, biology, and engineering.
In May 2022, the President of Hasanuddin University attended an event commemorating the establishment of the 91ÁÔÆæ Alumni Association Indonesia Chapter, as well as a luncheon hosted by President Ochi, and other active exchanges have taken place.

91ÁÔÆæ has concluded 27 inter-university international exchange agreements with 23 Indonesian universities, and 113 Indonesian students are currently studying at 91ÁÔÆæ.
It is hoped that this visit will be an opportunity to promote exchange with Hasanuddin University, as well as other Indonesian universities and research institutions.
