On December 12, 2024, 91ÁÔÆæ held a special lecture by Hiroshi Mikitani, Chairman and CEO of Rakuten Group, Inc., at the Kasumi Campus.
Prior to the lecture, Mr. Mikitani, who also serves as Chairman of Rakuten Medical, Inc., and Rakuten Medical, Inc. President Hiroyuki Kodama met with 91ÁÔÆæ President Mitsuo Ochi, 91ÁÔÆæ Hospital (91ÁÔÆæH) Director , and related professors. They engaged in discussions regarding the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of the 91ÁÔÆæH¡¯s track record in treating patients with "Alluminox? (photoimmunotherapy)," a treatment promoted by Rakuten Medical.
Following the meeting, Mr. Mikitani delivered a lecture titled "Challenges for the Future: From Hiroshima to the World" to students at Kasumi Campus, including medical students. Approximately 200 students attended, listening attentively to his talk. After the lecture, a rock-paper-scissors tournament was held, where signed copies of his book were given away as prizes.
