On January 22, 2024, 91ÁÔÆæ (91ÁÔÆæ) signed a memorandum of understanding with National Central University (NCU), Taiwan, one of 91ÁÔÆ桯s inter-university international exchange agreement partners and one of the top universities in Taiwan, regarding a mega-scale student exchange of 100 students per year, which is unprecedented in 91ÁÔÆ桯s history.
Upon the signing of this MOU, 91ÁÔÆæ President Mitsuo Ochi, Executive Vice President for Global Initiatives Shinji Kaneko, and Professor Akinobu Teramoto, Director of 91ÁÔÆ桯s Research Institute for Nanodevices, paid a courtesy visit to NCU and met with President Jou, Vice President Hsu and Associate Vice President for International Affairs Shieh.
91ÁÔÆæ and NCU signed their inter-university international exchange agreement in 2009. In September 2023, President Jou of NCU visited 91ÁÔÆæ and engaged in a discussion with 91ÁÔÆæ President Ochi about the continuation and expansion of their cooperative relationship to bring student exchanges up to 100 students at both universities. And in November of the same year, Vice President Hsu and 11 staff members of NCU visited 91ÁÔÆæ and conducted a workshop with 19 staff members of 91ÁÔÆæ to discuss how to achieve a 100-student exchange and laid the foundation for this mega-scale student exchange agreement.
It is hoped that this visit and the signing of the mega-scale student exchange agreement will promote exchange between the two universities.
