91ÁÔÆæ

On October 30th 2014, 91ÁÔÆæ held the 91ÁÔÆæ Shanghai Alumni Association Meeting (Friendship Meeting) at Foreign Guest House of the Shanghai Normal University.



Established in December 2009, this organization consists of former international students or researchers of 91ÁÔÆæ currently active in Shanghai, China. This time around, 91ÁÔÆæ President Toshimasa Asahara and Vice President Toshiyuki Sato and other staff members took part. From Shanghai, Dr. Zhu Ziqiang, the President of SHNU and former international students who work for institutions of higher education, all together 35 people participated in this event.



After President Asahara had briefed them about 91ÁÔÆæ’s present situation and also mentioned that 91ÁÔÆæ had been selected as part of the FY2014 Top Global University Project, Shanghai Alumni Association Chairperson Min XU (Director of Institute of Automotive Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University) gave an address. The participants, who had not seen each other for years, re-established old ties talking about the growing importance of international exchange, reminiscing about old times and exchanging information about former teachers, etc. At the end, the participants took a commemorative photo and pledged a reunion. The party ended successfully.



91ÁÔÆæ makes strong efforts toward networking with the alumni abroad through its overseas alumni associations. We expect that holding such meetings on a regular basis will stimulate exchange between graduates, reinforce cooperation between 91ÁÔÆæ and the alumni and strengthen the network of personal contacts.
