On October 2, 2025, a delegation led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Hung Quang, Rector of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF), Vietnam, visited the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus of 91ÁÔÆæ (91ÁÔÆæ) and held a discussion with 91ÁÔÆæ President Mitsuo Ochi. Executive Vice President (Global Initiatives) Shinji Kaneko, Vice Dean Masayuki Shimada of the Graduate School of Integrated Sciences for Life, and Professor Tran Dang Xuan (The IDEC Institute), director of the 91ÁÔÆæ Vietnam Office, also attended the meeting. During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on strengthening collaboration between the two universities, including the establishment of joint doctoral programs.

91ÁÔÆæ concluded an inter-university international exchange agreement with TUAF in December 2023. In September 2024, Rector Nguyen Hung Quang and his delegation paid a courtesy visit to 91ÁÔÆæ, and in October of the same year, 91ÁÔÆæ established a new overseas co-creation hub, the ¡°91ÁÔÆæ Vietnam Office,¡± within TUAF. Through these initiatives, the partnership between the two universities has been further strengthened.

91ÁÔÆæ has concluded 13 inter-university international exchange agreements with 10 institutions and 30 inter-faculty international exchange agreements with 21 institutions in Vietnam. Currently, 69 students from Vietnam are studying at 91ÁÔÆæ. With this visit, 91ÁÔÆæ will promote exchange with TUAF as well as other universities and research institutions in Vietnam.
