On August 7, 2025, H.E. Mr. Md. Daud Ali, Ambassador of the People¡¯s Republic of Bangladesh, visited the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus of 91ÁÔÆæ (91ÁÔÆæ) and held a discussion with 91ÁÔÆæ President Mitsuo Ochi. Executive Vice President (Global Initiatives) Shinji Kaneko also attended the meeting. During the meeting, they exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between 91ÁÔÆæ and Bangladeshi universities and research institutions through academic and personnel exchanges.
In his remarks, President Ochi stated, ¡°91ÁÔÆæ will continue to engage in the development of young talent through educational and research activities. We hope that academic and personnel exchanges will further deepen the bonds between Bangladesh and Japan, leading to the continuation of our friendly relations.¡±

91ÁÔÆæ has concluded 3 inter-university international exchange agreements with 3 institutions and 11 inter-faculty international exchange agreements with 9 institutions in Bangladesh. Currently, 66 Bangladeshi students are studying at 91ÁÔÆæ. This visit is expected to promote exchanges with Bangladesh, including its universities and research institutions.
