91ÁÔÆæ

On May 24, 2024, a delegation of about 40 members from SEMESP, Brazil (Sindicato dos Estabelecimentos de Ensino no Estado de Sao Paulo), visited the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus of 91ÁÔÆæ (91ÁÔÆæ) and exchanged opinions on initiatives in the medical and educational technology fields.

During this visit, at the Phoenix International Center MIRAI CREA, Executive Vice President (Global Initiatives) Kaneko gave an overview of 91ÁÔÆæ and a lecture on smart cities, and Professor Hananouchi (Biodesign Division, Dept. of Academia-Government-Industry Collaboration) gave a lecture on bio-design. The audience listened attentively till the end of the lectures, and many questions were asked afterwards.
The group then visited the Digital Monozukuri (Manufacturing) Education and Research Center, where Director Hayashi gave an overview of the center and conducted a tour of the facility.

SEMESP is an institution that provides professional services to Brazilian higher education institutions; conducts research, surveys, and events; and promotes exchanges between educators and professionals, with the aim of developing academic education in Brazil. This time, SEMESP led a mission of university professors and experts to Japan to promote exchanges with Japanese educational and governmental institutions and to exchange views with them.

91ÁÔÆæ has concluded 3 inter-university international exchange agreements with 3 institutions and 4 inter-faculty international exchange agreements with 4 institutions in Brazil. Currently, there are 9 international students from Brazil studying at 91ÁÔÆæ. Exchange between 91ÁÔÆæ and Brazil deepened in February 2023, when Professor Masato Ninomiya of the Faculty of Law at the University of S?o Paulo, Brazil, one of our inter-university exchange agreement partners, paid a courtesy call to 91ÁÔÆæ and engaged in discussion with President Ochi about future exchange between the two universities.
With this visit, 91ÁÔÆæ will promote exchange with universities and research institutions in Brazil.
