Attendance at the 8th Mini-Symposium on The Blood-Brain Barrier

I attended the 8th Mini-Symposium on The Blood-Brain Barrier held in Szeged, Hungary, from March 25 to 28, 2026, and presented a poster titled “Integrated proteomic analysis of resected tumor tissues and longitudinally collected plasma from patients with glioblastoma.”
Glioblastoma (GBM) is a highly aggressive brain tumor that significantly alters the central nervous system environment. Investigating the dynamic changes of the blood-brain barrier (BBB) under pathological conditions and its interaction with the systemic circulation using proteomics is crucial for understanding disease progression and identifying potential biomarkers. During the poster session, I presented the core of our research: a comprehensive proteomic study conducted on both longitudinally collected plasma and resected tissue samples using high-precision absolute quantitative SWATH-MS (Sequential Window Acquisition of all Theoretical Mass Spectra).
I had in-depth discussions with researchers and scholars from various countries. Participants showed great interest in our application of advanced omics approaches to study BBB-related alterations and systemic interactions and offered valuable suggestions for further data validation and future experimental designs.
In addition, I engaged in meaningful exchanges with international experts on several cutting-edge topics, such as the development of novel 3D in vitro BBB models (e.g., microfluidics and organ-on-a-chip), the role of extracellular vesicles in monitoring GBM treatment outcomes across the BBB, and emerging strategies for crossing the brain's protective barrier for targeted drug delivery. The symposium fostered a rich academic atmosphere, showcasing the rapid progress and diverse development trends in global blood-brain barrier research, which greatly broadened my academic perspective.

The East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars (EAFONS) 2026に参加して

2025年2月26日～2月28日にかけて、シンガポールで開催された第29回The East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars 2026に参加させていただきました。「Does Work Affect Parental Attachment to Their Children?」という演題でポスター発表を行いました。
本学会は、东アジアの7つの国と地域が创设メンバーとなり、看护学の研究者が国际的な交流を深め、东アジア地域の博士课程教育の质向上を目的として毎年开催されています。今回の発表では、働く男女の保护者と子どもへの支援を考えるため、ボンディングに影响を与える状况を検讨しました。调査の结果、仕事上のスピルオーバーは爱着形成と関连があることが示唆され、仕事上のネガティブスピルオーバーは爱着形成を低く、ポジティブスピルオーバーは爱着形成を高める可能性があると报告いたしました。
また、学会では、参加者の皆さまの口頭発表やポスター発表から多くを学ばせていただきました。Mental Health and Well-beingがテーマの講演を拝聴し、笑顔や微笑みなどの表情が心理的健康に与える影響について学びました。日常生活における行動と心理的な健康との関連について、興味深く感じると共に、最新の取り組みを知ることができる大変貴重な機会をいただきました。今回の学びをふまえ、親子の相互作用や心理的な健康について、今後の研究に活かせる知見を得ることができました。
最后になりますが、この度の学会発表にあたり、ご指导いただきました川﨑裕美教授をはじめ、ご支援?ご协力を赐りました研究室の皆さま、大学院生海外発表支援関係者の皆さまに深く感谢申し上げます。

29th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholar 2026に参加して

2026年2月26日～28日にかけて、シンガポールで開催された29th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholar 2026に参加し、「A Study on Factors Affecting Vision Loss in third year students at Middle School」という演題でポスター発表を行いました。本学会は1997年に設立され、東アジア地域の博士課程教育の質向上を目的に、看護学の研究者が国際的な交流を深める場として発展してきました。
発表では、中学3年生における视力低下と生活习惯の関连について调査し、その要因や课题について検讨しました。调査の结果、中学3年の1年间で9割もの生徒が视力低下していることが明らかとなり、中でも低下が顕着であった者は、身体的?生理的なストレスとの関连が示唆されました。
学会では、现代の看护における国际的な课题や、新たなスケールの开発による看护の质向上に向けた発表を聴讲するとともに、看护教育における最新テクノロジーを体験することで、今后の研究に活かせる知见を得ることができました。また、ティーブレイクの时间では、他の参加者と交流することで自身のキャリアプランを再考するきっかけとなり、研究者としての视野をさらに広げることができました。
最后になりますが、本学会への参加と発表の机会を与えてくださった指导教员の先生方、ご支援いただいた海外発表支援金関係者の皆様に深く感谢申し上げます。この贵重な経験を今后の研究活动に活かし、さらなる学びを深めていきたいと考えています。

29th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholar 2026に参加して

2026年2月26日～28日に、シンガポールUniversity Cultural Center, NUSで開催された29th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholar 2026に参加し、“Strategies for Increasing Social Interactions: Focusing on Outing Patterns”というタイトルで、ポスター発表を行いました。
本研究では、社会的孤立を防止するために人々が人づきあいの机会を増加させる要因を検讨しました。孤立している人は、人との交流、趣味、地域活动を目的に有意に外出せず、家族と共用の部屋、亲族?友人の家、趣味や活动の场、不特定多数の人が利用する场を有意に利用していませんでした。人づきあいには、外出目的のうち、社会的交流と地域活动が影响し、外出先のうち、家族と共用部屋、亲戚?友人宅への访问が影响しました。これらの研究结果から、兴味を持つことができる地域活动を提案することや、近隣住民と日常的に交流することが人づきあいを発展させる可能性があることを报告いたしました。
関连分野のポスター発表では、ソーシャルネットワークの狭さと抑うつ症状の関连の発表を拝见しました。社会的支援の充実が精神的健康の向上に役立つと示唆され、个别性に沿った社会的支援の提案が必要と学びました。精神的健康に関する口头発表では、「笑颜を作ること」が精神的健康の向上に役立つと报告しておりました。私の调査地域においても、笑颜で交流することを目的とした保健事业が実施されており、人づきあいの発展や精神的健康の向上に役立っているのだと改めて感じることができました。
最後に、この度の学会発表にあたり、ご指導いただきました川﨑 裕美教授および地域?学校看护开発学研究室の皆様、そしてご支援いただきました大学院生海外発表支援関係者の皆様に深く感謝申し上げます。

Academic Conference attendance on Innovate, Integrate, Inspire: Advancing Nursing Excellence in the Digital Era. The 29th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars

I attended the 29th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars (EAFONS) 2026, held at the National University of Singapore from 26-28 February 2026, where I presented a poster entitled: “Does Cervical Cancer Screening Serve Purposes beyond Early Detection? Predictors of Cervical Cancer Screening with a Focus on Intimate Partner Violence.”
This study involved a secondary data analysis of the 2022 Tanzania Demographic and Health Survey (TDHS). The presentation highlighted the prevalence of cervical cancer screening among Tanzanian women, the burden of intimate partner violence (IPV), and the association between IPV and cervical cancer screening uptake. The analysis included descriptive statistics, bivariate analyses, and multivariable regression analyses.
The findings provided valuable insights into the social and health-related determinants of cervical cancer screening and emphasized the importance of incorporating trauma-informed care into screening services. In addition, the study underscored persistent inequalities in access to preventive healthcare services between developed and developing countries, particularly in cervical cancer prevention.
The conference offered an excellent opportunity to share my research findings with healthcare practitioners and scholars, receive constructive feedback, and engage in meaningful academic discussions with researchers from across the East Asian region and beyond. Beyond sharing my own research, it was a privilege to learn about the diverse studies being conducted by scholars from different countries. I also had the opportunity to connect with many international researchers who are actively working toward the improvement of healthcare systems.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Professor Kawasaki Hiromi for her continuous guidance and mentorship. I am also deeply grateful to the Graduate School for International Development and Cooperation, 91猎奇, for providing me with partial financial support for this conference. The support enabled me to present my research at an international academic forum and to represent 91猎奇, where I was honored to receive the Best Poster Presentation Award.

2026年2月26日～28日にかけて、シンガポール国立大学(NUS)大学文化センターで開催された第29回The East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars (EAFONS) 2026に参加し、「The Relationship Between Continuing Breastfeeding After Returning to Work and Workplace Breastfeeding Support Systems」という演題でポスター発表を行いました。
本学会は、东アジア地域の博士课程教育の质向上を目的として、香港、韩国、シンガポール、タイ、フィリピン、台湾、日本の7つの国と地域が创设メンバーとなり、看护学の研究者が国际的な交流を深める场として発展してきました。
本発表では、復职后の母乳育児継続と职场における母乳育児支援制度の利用状况との関连について分析を行いました。その结果、育児时间やテレワーク、授乳环境、専门职による相谈、公司内保育所などの支援制度において母乳育児継続と有意な関连が认められました。これらのことから、职场における母乳育児支援制度の充実は、復职后も母乳育児を継続するために重要であることが示唆されました。
本学会では、自身の発表や他の参加者の発表を通じて、研究について新たな视点を得ることができました。特に、日本における母乳育児支援制度の特徴や课题を国际的な视点から比较?検讨することの重要性を认识しました。
最后になりますが、本学会への参加と発表の机会を与えてくださった指导教员の先生方、ご支援いただいた海外発表支援金関係者の皆様に深く感谢申し上げます。この贵重な経験を今后の研究活动に活かし、さらなる学びを深めていきたいと考えています。

Attendance at the 29th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars (EAFONS) from February 26th to 28th, 2026

I attended the 29th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars (EAFONS) from February 26th to 28th, 2026, held in Singapore at the National University of Singapore (NUS). I delivered an oral presentation entitled “Face-to-face versus 360 VR video: a comparative study of two teaching methods in nursing education”.  
In nursing education, the established method of demonstration for teaching psychomotor skills is face-to-face. However, the negative of the approach is teacher’s dependency of students, resource-intensive demonstration and redemonstration, and faculty-student ratio during demonstration. With the advent of 360 virtual reality video, nursing students could experience immersion, engage in self-directed learning, and revise nursing procedures. Therefore, the study was conducted to establish the effectiveness of using 360 virtual reality video as an alternative approach to face-to-face method in the demonstration of closed tracheal suctioning for nursing students. During the oral presentation, I presented the study procedure, statistical method, and the outcomes of knowledge, psychomotor skills, confidence and satisfaction, virtual reality sickness symptoms, and the perception of virtual reality use. The study provided insight on how 360 virtual reality could achieve similar learning effect as an alternative approach to face-to-face, and the need to explore further on the student’s satisfaction on the use of virtual reality. 
Through the funding support of Hiroshima university, attendance at the conference was an opportunity to engage and network with researchers from different academic backgrounds and research endeavors and share our findings from Hiroshima university.

贰础贵翱狈厂2026に参加して

今回、2026年2月26日から28日にかけてシンガポールで行われた東アジア看護学研究者フォーラム、贰础贵翱狈厂2026に参加してきました。本学会では「Characteristics of Teenagers with Self-harm Who Used Emergency Medical Services」をテーマに現地でポスター発表を行いました。本研究では近年問題視されている10代の自殺および自傷行為に関連して、救急医療サービスを利用した若者の特徴を明らかにし、その特性に応じた個別的支援の必要性について検討した内容を発表してきました。
今回、国を超えた多くの研究者や学生が集まる国际学会に初めて参加しました。多様な研究分野や研究方法、各国の医疗体制や社会背景を踏まえた结果成果を研究者本人から话を闻くという大変贵重な机会を得ることができました。
国际学会は活気にあふれた雰囲気があり、様々な背景を持つ人と交流する中で刺激をもらいました。特にポスター発表の际には有意义な交流ができました。特に自身の研究内容を议论する中で文化的背景や社会制度の违いにより、同じテーマであっても捉え方や価値観が异なるということに気が付きました。多様な视点に触れたことで自身の研究をより広い视点で见直すことができました。
最后になりましたが本研究発表にあたりご指导赐りました、田边和照先生、寺本千恵先生、泽渡浩之先生、ご支援いただいた大学院生海外発表支援の関係者の皆様に感谢申し上げます。

Attendance at the 29th ENFONS International Conference 2026, Singapore (February 27-28, 2026)

I attended the 29th ENFONS International Conference 2026 held in Singapore on February 27-28, 2026, where I presented my research titled “Factors Associated with Nursing Difficulties Among Chinese Migrant Nurses in Japan: A Focus on Individual Characteristics.” The conference brought together researchers and professionals from various countries, providing a valuable opportunity to share research findings and exchange perspectives on current issues in healthcare and nursing practice.
My study aimed to identify individual factors associated with nursing difficulties experienced by Chinese migrant nurses working in Japan. As the demand for healthcare professionals continues to increase, migrant nurses play an important role in the healthcare system, yet they often face challenges related to language barriers, cultural differences, and workplace adaptation. To investigate these issues, an anonymous web-based survey was conducted among Chinese nurses working in Japan.
The findings showed that nursing experience in Japan was significantly associated with perceived nursing difficulties. Nurses with less than five years of experience reported greater difficulties compared with those with five or more years of experience. Differences were also observed across workplace settings, particularly regarding aspects related to considering patients’ feelings in nursing practice. In contrast, prior nursing experience in the home country and educational background were not significantly associated with nursing difficulties.
Participating in this conference allowed me to receive constructive feedback and gain broader perspectives on my research topic. In future research, I plan to further explore effective support strategies that may facilitate smoother adaptation and professional development for migrant nurses in Japan.

29th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars (EAFONS) Conferenceに参加して

2026年2月27?28日にシンガポールのUniversity Cultural Centre NUSで開催された「29th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars (EAFONS) Conference」にて、ポスター発表を行いました。 
研究タイトルは「Factors for Ability to Nursing Support about Fertility Preservation Decision-Making in Patients with Cancer」で、日本のがん治療指定病院に勤務する看護師を対象に、妊孕性温存に関する意思決定支援能力の要因を検討しました。その結果、生殖医療科のある医療機関に勤務していること、生殖医療?妊孕性温存に関する研修受講歴、患者からの相談対応経験が、支援能力を高める有意な因子であることが明らかとなりました。一方、年齢や経験年数、資格などの基本属性は影響が限定的であり、体系的な研修の提供や相談経験を積む環境整備の重要性が示唆されました。これらの取り組みは、年齢や経験にかかわらず支援能力向上につながり、がんサバイバーの生活の質向上にも寄与すると考えられます。学会では著名な先生方の講演を聴講し、デジタルツール開発やAI活用など看護ケアの最新動向に触れ、多面的な知見を得られる貴重な機会となりました。今後の課題は英語でのディスカッション力向上であり、国際学会をより楽しめるよう、様々な領域の専門家と意見交換できる力を養っていきたいと考えています。

American Society of nephrology Kidney Week 2025に参加して

この度、2025年11月6日から9日に米国テキサス州ヒューストンで開催されたAmerican Society of Nephrology Kidney Week 2025に参加し、「Hypokalemia-Induced NKCC2 Dephosphorylation via the PKA-DARPP-32-PP1 Pathway in the Renal Medulla」の演題でポスター発表を行いました。
腎髄質の高張性維持と尿濃縮に必須である太い上行脚のNa?-K?-2Cl?共輸送体(NKCC2)のリン酸化は、V2受容体–cAMP–PKA経路により制御されることが知られています。しかし、低カリウム血症に伴う腎性尿崩症におけるNKCC2のリン酸化状態およびその制御機序は十分に解明されていません。そこで本研究では、低カリウム血症でNKCC2リン酸化(pNKCC2)が低下するとの仮説を立て、PKA–DARPP-32–PP1軸の観点から検討しました。その結果、pNKCC2は血漿カリウム値と正に相関し、低カリウム血症では腎髄質におけるpNKCC2が低下することが示されました。さらに、髄質太い上行脚の管腔側でPP1αのリン酸化が低下しており、ADH/PKA–PP1シグナル不全が優位に働く可能性が示唆されました。加えて低カリウム血症では、DARPP-32のリン酸化がThr34からThr75へシフトし、髄質太い上行脚の管腔側におけるpThr34 DARPP-32とpPP1αはいずれも減弱しました。以上より、低カリウム血症はADH–PKAシグナルを低下させ、DARPP-32のリン酸化をThr34→Thr75へ転換させることで、PKA–DARPP-32–PP1軸を介したNKCC2脱リン酸化を促進し、尿濃縮障害に寄与する可能性が示されました。
私にとって初めての海外発表であり意思疎通に苦労しましたが、海外の研究成果に触れる貴重な機会となり、非常に有意義な時間を過ごすことができました。このような貴重な機会を与えてくださった正木教授、肾臓内科学教室の皆様、ご支援いただきました大学院生海外発表支援関係者の皆様に感謝申し上げます。
